Manufacture process of tea seed oil


After the camellia seeds are picked and dried, they will automatically rupture. Then peel and shell off, crush, braise and fry, through first oil pressing we can acquire crude camellia oil.The crude camellia oil must be refined and processed before secure for eating.

(1) Press crude camellia oil:

Crude camellia oil has some phospholipid, dissociative fatty acid, pigment, peroxide, some kinds of mechanism impurities etc. The existence of impurities easily brings rancidity of oil and metamorphosing, affect the smoke point of camellia oil, which is bad for people’ health.

(2) Residue removed and dehydration:

The deposits are filtrated and the residues are removed, then the mechanism impurity, gelatine, protein and other water-solubility impurity of crude camellia oil are wiped off; the superfluous water of crude camellia oil is wiped off by dehydration. Residue removed and dehydration can improve stability and purity of camellia oil.

(3) Deacidification and degelatinize:

Some dissociative fatty acid of crude camellia oil is wiped off by deacidification; insolubility impurity of crude camellia oil is wiped off by degelatinize (such as phospholipid), protein and manifold resin shape colloid, which can availability prevent rancidity of oil and metamorphosing, and heighten the smoke point of camellia oil.

(4) Decoloration, deodorization and degreasing ― The First-Grade Camellia Oil:

Organic pigment (chlorophyll, carotene, flavone pigment, anthocyanidin) and some decomposition product of protein are wiped off by decoloration, which improve the color of camellia oil to be more clear; the smell of a few aldehydes, ketones, hydrocarbons, low molecular fatty acid, oxide of glycerides and etc, which is wiped off by deodorization; high dissolved point fatty acid in grease is wiped off by degreasing, filtration and separation. The decoloration, deodorization and degreasing assure the limpidity and stability of camellia oil.
